ABOUT US

Mission

To connect and empower Korean American student leaders through cross-campus collaboration, cultural identity, and leadership development.

Vision

A unified national student network where student members of the Korean American diaspora community are supported, represented, and resourced.

OUR HISTORY

Starting off

Founded in 2022

The National Korean Student Alliance is a non-profit organization supporting student and young alumni members of the Korean American diaspora through access to networking, professional development, and community resources.

N-KSA was chartered through the Korean American President's Summit - a meeting in 2021 of Korean American student organization leaders from across the country who agreed that a national organization dedicated to strengthening ties between students and other student organizations will positively impact Korean American students across the United States.

Starting off

Growth & Goals

What began as a grassroots digital coalition quickly evolved into a national platform. Over the next two years, N-KSA formalized its operations, building a nonprofit framework and launching its cornerstone initiatives.

We started up our flagship project, endearingly called "Growth and Goals," which are monthly meetings dedicated to brainstorming, community building, and uplifting student voices. We strive to connect students from across college and university campuses. Through which, we can foster meaningful collaboration and robust alliances between students, KSAs more broadly, and working professionals.

Growth & Goals has grown to over 20 active chapters covering the waterfront of college and university campuses across the country, and we're continually looking for ways to expand our reach.

Now

Our Impact Today

To that end, N-KSA has spearheaded many initiatives that seek to promote meaningful relationships between N-KSA members and the greater Korean and Korean-American population including networking socials in multiple cities, a variety of virtual workshops focused on career advice from working professionals in law, healthcare, business, and entrepreneurship, and even annual summits hosted in NYC.

To date, N-KSA has partnered with over 30 Korean American student organizations across the country. Today, N-KSA collaborates with leading Korean American institutions—including CKA, KACF, and the Naeil Foundation—to sustain a powerful network that connects student leadership with professional and cultural opportunity nationwide.

The Concept of "Yeon" (연)

In the future, we turn our gaze to a broader horizon deeply informed by the Korean concept of "yeon" or a profound sense of interconnectedness. In particular, we ask how we can further our mission of providing such practical and profitable networking and mentorship advice to students and KSAs that endeavors to access that keen sense of affinity?

The answer is clear - the continued support of Korean American student organizations in spreading the word about our events and our ability to ensure student and young alumni members of the Korean American Diaspora and those supporting them are heard and supported.
